We’ve come a long way since Al Gore invented the internet 😉 But seriously, it wasn’t that long ago when www was nonsensical; e-mail was an oddity and meetings were held face to face with a white board and post-it notes. Today it is so ingrained in our lives that a weekend “unplugged” is considered a wild vacation.  People actually have withdrawal-like symptoms from losing access.  The point of all of this?  The United Nations recently released a lengthy report stating in essence that disconnecting people’s access to the internet is a violation of human rights and goes against international law.  Like I said: “We’ve come a long way.”
